Cosmos Lem Jewellery is a project organized by the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wroclaw. The curators Prof. Agata Danielak-Kujda and Giedymin Jablonski invited mote than 100 artists to participate. The focus lies in the different ideas of the universe and the literary impact of Stanislav Lem, who was a polish writer, philosopher and futurologist. His visionary science fiction books are a great source of inspiration for contemporary artists in many fields.
This touring exhibition project will be presented in the places connected to Stanislav Lem. Gdansk, Krakow, Wroclaw, Vienna, Berlin and Houston as a final stop.

Research station hovering above the ocean of Solaris is an object with removable brooch. The brooch represents the research station.
The story of the novel Solaris from Stanisław Lem happens on board a research station, send to understand the extraterrestrial intelligence which is the ocean. It is something that is organic, but has no cells, organs or nervous system. In my imagination it is like a Fata Morgana, shimmering on the horizon and changing colours and forms, creating visible complex structures on the surface sea. The ocean interacts and plays with the station and the scientists, materializes their imaginations. It creates visitors, that come from their thoughts. It has the ability to control magnetic fields. What effects would it trigger in humans? This bound is possible only between the research station and the planet Solaris. It is a kind of unique relationship, that is beyond any imagination.
My object and brooch are build and connected together as one. But it`s possible to separate the research station and wear it as a brooch.
