This brooch from the collection Terra Incognita<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>symbolizes the cycle-like style of our lives.<\/p>\n

Due to Covid-19 we had to stop. We had to pause our daily hurrying and everyday stress. The need for positivity and a brighter future has become more important than ever. A new chance to create a world based on love, help and understanding, living in harmony with nature and society. This brooch embodies the break from our old cycle, into this new life. To surround yourself with colours is a good way to think positive. I use anodized titanium to add colour to the metal parts and different stones to highlight the pieces. For me, to create jewellery, is to make the inner world visible. Colours and forms of biological organisms transformed in the mind and through the hands. Amidst the chaos, there is harmony. Millions of fascinating species depend on each other. Some of them fall into oblivion. I want to protect and cherish the natural world. Nature itself defies expectations and comprehensibility. The opulence of color combinations, paired with materials like titanium and wood result in fantasy creations which approach real sea animals in different ways. Contrast and contradiction becomes sharper by using divergent materials side by side. For me it is important to feel the material, its smooth or rough surface, its natural softness or its temperature.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
