Cycles Of Nature brooch from the Cycles of Nature collection<\/a> symbolizes the perfect stage created by nature. There is a source, a connection and motivation. It doesn\u2019t matter which time or place. It\u2019s only one thing and multiple possibilities. I choose work in, and for art, creating jewellery, to make my inner world visible. Colours and forms of biological organisms transformed in my mind.<\/div>\n
The perfection of nature\u2019s forms and the beauty of the material challenge me to create jewellery pieces of resemblant quality. Sometimes, my workbench looks like a natural history collection: Driftwood of a wayward-knotted shape, pieces of coral, lichen, dried scale of a carp, petrified sea shell, amber or a sea urchin skeleton gather there.<\/div>\n
Cycles Of Nature is made of pink coloured driftwood, Kyanite crystal, brass, silver and Ammonite. You can discover faceted stones cut by myself in the Journal GEMSTONE FACETING FOR PASSION. and also in my online-shop here. Faceting As a starting point, I use raw material but also already cut, older and broken stones. The more complicated the work is, the greater the challenge. A challenge for me is always the theme which I process in my collections and single pieces.<\/div>\n
Divergent material properties meet another in unusual combinations: soft and amorphous runs into hard and edged, translucent stones into mat light absorbing bodies. Animal, botanic and mineral seems to flow fluently into each other. My jewellery objects are materialized imaginations. It\u2019s not how the things really are. How they could be \u2013 that is the point of aesthetic capability. They appear strange, till we realize a reflection of our own psyche in it. The creations origin in deeper layers of human consciousness. Feelings, wishes, fears and instincts drift on the bottom of the soul. I love to dive. Into the depth of the oceans, into the colours of nature, into subconscious.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
