Ligno Regia collections main material is recycled mangrove wood. Symbiotic relationship symbolizes the interpenetration and infusion of materials and forms. The bond is created by the adaptation and addiction of species. The symbiosis creates new patterns and symbols that grow from the inside to the surface. The jewellery pieces are made of wood, stones, metal and other materials. In the brooch Landscape and the brooch Growth, wood and stone complement and expand. Landscape jasper and agate geode, set in brass, make the recycled wood complete. Only through them becomes the piece of wood alive.

The fish can be an archetypal and a depth analytical symbol for the underwater hidden truth, which is to be caught and to be revealed.

First it shimmers in concealment, easily slips away from the fisherman but promises food. The form of the bones, that give the shape to the piece reminds of a butterfly. Butterfly is seen as a personification of a person’s soul and rebirth.

Cycles of Nature jewellery collection symbolizes the perfect stage created by nature. There is a source, a connection and motivation. It doesn’t matter which time or place. It’s only one thing and multiple possibilities. I choose work in, and for art, creating jewellery, to make my inner world visible. Colours and forms of biological organisms transformed in my mind.

The form and the shape of the pieces remind of a Coronaviridae, spherical particles reminiscent an image of the solar corona. A shape, found everywhere in nature, locked in our subconscious. Twisted and organic shapes are inspired by marine life forms like medusae and anemones. The opulence of color combinations, stories and myths, paired with material characteristic of titanium and wood, result in fantasy creations which approach real sea animals in different ways.

Terra Incognita – Solar collection of 9 spherical, round cabochon formed brooches made of recycled wood and titanium with additional stones. Worms: Into the Unknown collection is about about how I see the hidden natural world. It is not how the species really are, it is how the could be. They represent the freedom of my imagination. By focusing on the essentials and not to external conditions, we reach the blurred lines between the natural and artificial. These relationships are compositions of freedom.

Through imagination the undiscovered world of inward beings is brought to daily life till a piece of jewelry is created.
