Description
I made this Storm Bone Brooch in 2017 as a part of the collection Orbis Regius. Here, the main materials are – found bone of a wild animal, old hand-hammered nail and a sphere made of moss agate. Bone painted in green, green stone and rusty nail contrast with golden colour of brass and micro granules. It reminds of green woods and connection to nature. Made of nature materials but the surface was changed. Dark, earthy colours deepen the impression. Pure jewelry that runs through the bones. Jewelry is the basic substance that gives me the opportunity to express my artistic ideas to the outside. Jewelry is art to wear. Jewellery is for me an object, which communicates on non-verbal level. Jewellery emits signals. The signals which originate from thoughts, ideas and concepts. These pulsate in the space and communicate. My main idea is to show jewellery as a an object which becomes its power by wearing on human body. It’s texture is natural and tempts to touch.
Sometimes we see only what we want to see. Sometimes it’s enough. We want to know the truth behind the things. Truth is freedom. So we ask, investigate and are curious. We want to find out how things work. We are creating universe with the least constraint. The need to create is an elementary necessity of us all.
