Description
Nero d’Avola Brooch was made especially for Gioielli in Fermento 2013, (an exhibition project and award for contemporary studio jewellery) where it was awarded with the First Prize together with another two brooches, Spumante and Vernaccia (both already sold!). As the name says, it is inspired by the connection between wine and jewellery. The colours, the fragility and the nature are the keywords for this work. Materialized imagination How far is it from the depths of the oceans until you reach the depth of imagination, an unknown place where everything is possible? We move slowly, swim at the bottom of our thoughts and discover what we have not even dreamed of. You ask yourself where this fantastic variety of delicate forms and mellow colors comes from? Where it has no limits and no rules, it is inexhaustible. The inspiration’s floating in weightless state. It develops itself and never stands still. An unsatisfied thirst for knowledge, which tempts our sense of taste and creates unique desserts that tell a story. Nero d’Avola Brooch was inspired of the beautiful colour of the wine Nero d’Avola with its superbly bold fruit-driven flavors that range from black cherry to prune.
